Dynamic Estimation of kinetic parameters
This problem is to fit kinetic parameters to experimental data from a batch reactor.
The reaction mechanism is as follows:
All reactions occur only on the catalyst surface. The reaction A->B is a reversible reaction, reactions B->C and A->D are irreversible reactions.
The kinetics of the catalyst reactions can be described using the following Langmuir_Hinshelwood Haougen-Watson type equations.
Concentration versus time data is available from 4 isothermal batch reaction experiments.The result of dynamic estimation to fit to the batch experimental is as follows:
